For an eighth consecutive year, Sienna has been named one of the 50 top-selling master-planned communities in the nation!
Two noted housing research companies — John Burns Real Estate Consulting and Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLCO) — compile the data annually. According to John Burns, Sienna has ranked among the nation’s best-selling master-planned communities every year but one since the company started issuing reports in 2010.
So why do hundreds and hundreds of people buy new homes in Sienna each year? Let’s take a look:
Really Fabulous New Homes
According to RCLCO, a true master-planned community must offer a variety of housing types, sizes and prices. Sienna does just that, offering something for everyone. First-time buyers can find floor plans starting just below $300,000. Those with larger budgets can find homes priced at more than $1 million. Thirty-four floor plans in Sienna offer five bedrooms standard, with many more having a fifth — and even sixth — bedroom as an option. Home offices, media rooms, game rooms, expansive covered patios — whatever you might want, you’ll likely find it among the 223 floor plans builders offer in Sienna.
Beyond Homes
In its 2023 report, RCLCO also mentions popular neighborhoods also have on-site education opportunities, employment opportunities and neighborhood shopping and services. Again, Sienna checks all of those boxes. There are seven Fort Bend ISD schools in Sienna with an eighth slated to open later this year. Parents can select from a number of on-site preschools and the private Divine Savior Academy offers classes from preschool through 10th grade, with plans to offer a full high school experience by 2024.
Take a drive down Sienna Parkway and you’ll see any number of businesses — salons, medical offices, restaurants, gas stations, pharmacies and more. Picking up ingredients for the evening’s dinner is as quick as a trip to H-E-B or Harvest Market, both located within the community. And all of these businesses provide employment opportunities for Sienna residents.
Soaking Up Some Vitamin D
In Sienna, we’ve always believed access to the great outdoors is important, but it became an even bigger priority for people during the pandemic. Luckily for Sienna residents, there are dozens of parks and playgrounds open in the community — with more on the way. Miles of trails meander through the community, offering paved sidewalks and shady nature trails. Tennis courts, sand volleyball courts and the many sports fields at Camp Sienna allow residents to enjoy some neighborly competition playing their favorite sports. And for those who love the water, we have lakes for fishing and non-motorized boating as well as a number of pools — some so large we simply call them water parks.
Building Community
Also cited in this year’s RCLCO report about successful master-planned community development is encouraging “interaction among neighbors in the sense of the word ‘community.’” And that may be where Sienna shines brightest. We don’t have a lifestyle director — we have a lifestyle team. This team hosts a full calendar of events that is chock-full of something for everyone — from our tots to our active adults. Outdoor concerts, fabulous Fourth of July fireworks displays, pool parties, the always popular Snow Blast, and much, much more encourage residents to get out and mingle — making plenty of cherished memories along the way.
Beyond resident events, many friendships have started on Sienna playgrounds. Parents get to know each other volunteering at school or cheering their young athletes at practices and games. The nearly dozen churches that hold services in Sienna provide additional opportunities to engage with others, as do Sienna’s volunteer organizations, such as the Sienna Women’s League.
Now celebrating more than 25 years, Sienna has gone beyond “community” — for residents, it’s considered a hometown.
