The Sienna Art Festival — happening 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 — will have something for everyone!
Nearly 50 artists will showcase a wide palette of artwork on display and for sale, from oil, acrylic and water paintings to photography, jewelry and more. Expect to see more sculptures, wood art and work featuring various textiles in this year’s mix of artwork.
Favorite artists from past years will be back, including the following people who have been with us from the very first festival: Debra Jan Hall (shout out to her for helping us organize the event!), Janet Little, Joel Anderson, Karen Walsh, Liz Concess Spencer, Mary Mulvihill, Monica Wang, Rania Khalil, Sarah Hildebrandt and Tim Herschbach.
A quarter of our participating artists also were juried into the Bayou City Art Festival, an annual event showcasing work by the area’s very best artists. Joel, Liz, Monica and Tim of our original artists participated, as well as the following who will also be at Sienna Art Festival: Issouf Simpore, J Howard, Janet Little, Kimberly Merck-Moore, Paul Banda, Patricia Mire, Patricia Burroughs, Susan Urband and Theresa Wilson. Their paintings, drawings and mixed medium displays are sure to impress.
And while these artists have been honing their skill for years, our festival also celebrates up-and-coming artists, including 11-year-old Aria Lett, who crafts bead-and-cord bracelets — perfect for young people on your gift list.
This year’s festival will also include artistry of a different sort — Texas Party Box and Aryce Designs are designing fantastic, over-the-top displays on patio tables at nine model homes at the Forest Lake Model Home Village, the setting for the festival.

In typical Sienna fashion, you can expect much more happening at this signature event. The music line-up has been expanded with Micah Edwards and his band taking the stage at noon and local favorites “Heights Fools on Stools” performing at 3 p.m. Children’s activities include face painting, balloon art and more.
There will be plenty of food trucks on hand, as well, so you can plan on staying the day. Enjoy a Maine Roll from Cousins Maine Lobster food truck, slow-cooked meat that falls off the bone from Roco’s Grill & Smokehouse and a Kandy Land Kone from Krazy Cups & Kones. Other mobile eateries scheduled to be at the festival include Chick-fil-A, Wood-Fired Pizza, Taco Vibez and Funnel Bar.
Texas Biergarten, Texas Leaguer Brewing Co. and Wine Vibes Micro Brewery & Bistro will be serving adult beverages for guests ages 21 and older.
Have you purchased your tickets yet? The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Children ages 12 and under are admitted for free. Free shuttle service will run from Sawmill Lake Club, 10323 Mount Logan, to the event.
