Grand Opening and Celebration Coming in September
Houston, TX [July 25, 2008] – Houston Community College will celebrate the opening of the new Missouri City Campus in September. The 45,000-square-foot Academic Center is located at 5855 Sienna Springs Way and Sienna Parkway in Missouri City.
The Missouri City Campus Academic Center is the cornerstone of a 50-acre master-planned site. This new, state-of-the-art educational facility will accommodate 2,162 students in 22 classrooms/laboratories, 13 lecture rooms, 7 multi-purpose rooms and a science laboratory. The center will also house student services, including registration and testing, and faculty offices.
The new center is part of HCC's Capital Improvement Plan provided by a $150.8 million bond approved by voters in 2003. Over 12 facilities at five colleges are being built or renovated as part of HCC's CIP.
